On this detached house, the lower level porch elevation had crumbling mortar on all the gable ends. When this happens, we always completely rake out all the old mortar and re-cement and re-point the gables. Patching the mortar is not a long term solution.
Once the cement work was completed, we replaced all the old guttering, fascias and soffits with white UPVC. White shiplap cladding was fixed to the apex of the front lower level gable and to either end. Coupled with the new cement work the visual transformation was something our customer was really happy with.
New Fascias and white plain soffits, with a white square gutter system give this house a genuine look of complete refurbishment alongside the recently installed new windows and doors.
